Lauren Wade

Lauren was raised in Bancroft, Ontario. In 2017, she graduated from the Paralegal program at Durham College and became a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario in the same year. She then bridged into her bachelor's degree at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, majoring in Legal Studies and minoring in Criminology and Justice, completing both a college diploma and bachelor's degree in just 4 years. During her time at UOIT, Lauren completed a placement with the Durham Region Crown Attorney's Office where she gained valuable experience with criminal matters before the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice.

Lauren then began working at a law firm in Oshawa, before leaving to work at Elrick Law in 2019. At Elrick Law, she was a legal assistant before she began practicing as a paralegal. As a paralegal, she handled matters in the Small Claims Court and Provincial Offences Court.

Lauren left Elrick Law in 2021 to pursue her law degree at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. During her law degree, she was an active member at the Leicester University Law Society and the Canadian Law Society and did pro bono work with the Miscarriages of Justice Program and Lawyers Without Boarders. She graduated with honours in 2023.

Lauren is returning to Elrick Law to complete her articling requirements before writing bar exams to become a licensed lawyer in Ontario.
